Mental Health Therapy

I believe that every person carries their own story of suffering—and their own strength. Pain is part of being human, and none of us move through life untouched by hardship. As Thich Nhat Hanh wisely said, “The seed of suffering in you may be strong, but don’t wait until you have no more suffering before allowing yourself to be happy.”

Therapy, to me, isn’t about erasing pain. It’s about learning to live with it—gently, courageously, and with a deeper sense of connection to yourself and those around you. Over time, therapy helps build resilience and equanimity—so you can weather life’s ups and downs with greater steadiness and clarity.

I believe you are not a problem to be fixed, but a whole person shaped by your experiences, relationships, culture, and environment. You are also the author of your own story, with the capacity to heal, reimagine, and grow.

My role is not to judge or direct, but to walk alongside you—with warmth, curiosity, and care—as you reconnect with your truth and move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and fully yours.

Support for humanitarians & expats

Humanitarians and expats often carry invisible weight—burnout, vicarious trauma, identity shifts, and the strain of life across borders. I offer a grounded, culturally sensitive space to help you reconnect, process, and rediscover what replenishment and purpose mean for you—beyond the mission. I also work with children and adolescents navigating these transitions, offering age-appropriate support to help them feel seen, safe, and understood.

Support for those affected by displacement

Whether you’ve moved by choice or necessity, living between cultures can carry grief, stress, and strength. I offer compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants—supporting you to process trauma, ease anxiety, and reclaim your sense of safety and identity. This is a space to feel seen, heard, and gently supported as you navigate life in a new place.

Support for women

Big life changes can stir anxiety, self-doubt, and a longing for clarity—whether you're ending a relationship, changing careers, becoming a mother (or not), or just feeling out of sync with your life. For women navigating transitions, difficult decisions, or the aftermath of gender-based violence, I offer a supportive space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with more confidence, ease, and self-trust.

Recent Experience

Mental health & mindfulness session, Kilifi Wellness Festival

I facilitated a session on mental health and mindfulness for the Kilifi Wellness Festival in Kenya. Together, we explored polyvagal theory, connection with our authentic selves, how to reprogram negative beliefs and neural pathways, and identified coping mechanisms to help regulate our nervous system.

Mental health therapy for adolescents and adults

I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach to therapy, supporting people who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, burnout, or self-doubt—and who are longing to reconnect with joy, meaning, and purpose in their lives. My work is collaborative and tailored to your needs, drawing from approaches such as:

  • CBT

  • EMDR

  • IFS-informed therapy

  • DBT skills

  • Mindfulness and movement

  • Nature-based practices

  • Motivational interviewing
